Experience a first-hand history lesson in Germany & Switzerland

Church history is extensive. Most of our tours focus on the earliest history of the Church: the birth, Crucifixion, and
Resurrection of Jesus Christ, the locations to which Paul mailed his famous epistles, things of that nature. But the world offers more where Church history is concerned. We would love to take you there! Accompany us as we explore the birthplace of the Reformation. This tour offers a pre-tour option with more of Munich as well as a post-tour option with Lake Geneva, Nyon and Lausanne.

Munich

This beautiful capital city of Bavaria is the starting point for our Reformation tour. Our first night we have the option for a traditional Bavarian dinner.

Linderhof Castle

Castles are part of the allure of visiting Europe, and Germany has no shortage of them. We’ve worked time into this itinerary for a few fairytale stops.

Neuschwanstein Castle

King Ludwig II of Bavaria commissioned this castle for his residence, but he died shortly after construction began, and it became open to the public.

Zurich

This picturesque city is home to the Grossmunster Cathedral where Huldrych Zwingli started the Swiss Reformation.

Bern

This capital of Switzerland boasts a massive medieval historic center. It is also home to the Zytglogge, a medieval clock tower with moving puppets.

Geneva

Zwingli and Calvin. You can’t hear their names without thinking of the Swiss Reformation. Geneva is tied tightly to their efforts.

Dachau

Not all history is pretty. Dachau is home to one of the concentration camps from World War II. May we never forget.

Nyon

Nyon takes us to Lake Geneva. We will enjoy the lake as well as the castle and the reformed parish church that are nestled there.

Lausanne

You may have heard of Lausanne. This is where the Olympic Committee is hosted. It’s also the setting for Lausanne’s Cathedral.

The sites on this tour will astound you. Additionally, you will go home with a deeper knowledge of how Christianity came to be recognized in Europe and how it then extended its reach further.
